Modified on Thu, 3 Sep at 1:39 PM

This Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) outlines the revised cashback structure for the Axis Bank super.money RuPay Credit Card effective January 1, 2026. Agents must use this guide to calculate and explain cashback earnings to customers.

New Cashback Construct w.e.f 1 Jan 2026

1. Revised Cashback Rules (Effective Jan 1, 2026)

  • Unlimited 1% Cashback: Earned on all eligible non-UPI purchases and UPI purchases made outside the super.money app.

  • 3% Cashback (super.money App): Earned on eligible UPI purchases made specifically via the super.money app.

  • Minimum Spend Requirement: No cashback is earned on any individual transaction below ₹100.

  • Removal of Monthly Cap: The previous global cashback cap of ₹500 per statement cycle is no longer applicable.

2. Capping Logic for 3% Earnings

The 3% cashback earned on the super.money app is subject to a "matching" cap based on other spends:

  • The Matching Rule: 3% cashback iaxis capped at the total amount earned from 1% categories (Other UPI + Non-UPI) during the same statement month.

  • The ₹100 Floor Rule: If 1% category earnings are under ₹100, and the 3% category earnings exceed ₹100, the 3% earnings are capped at a flat ₹100.

3. Calculation Illustrations for Agents

Use these scenarios to explain the math to customers:

Scenario A: The "Matching" Cap

  • User Spends: ₹4,000 on super.money app (3%) and ₹9,000 on other spends (1%).

  • Initial Calculation: 3% of ₹4,000 = ₹120; 1% of ₹9,000 = ₹90.

  • Applied Cap: Since the 1% earnings (₹90) are under ₹100, the 3% earnings (₹120) are capped at ₹100.

  • Total Credit: ₹100 + ₹90 = ₹190.

Scenario B: Below Minimum Spend

  • User Spend: A single transaction of ₹95.

  • Result: Zero cashback earned, as the transaction is below the ₹100 threshold.

4. Agent Action & Communication Guidelines

  • Step 1: Verify the transaction date. These rules only apply to spends from January 1, 2026, onwards.

  • Step 2: Check if the transaction was below ₹100. If so, inform the user that it is ineligible for cashback.

  • Step 3: If a user complains about "missing" 3% cashback, explain that it is now capped based on their other spends (non-super.money UPI and offline/online card spends).

  • Step 4: Highlight the positive change: There is no longer a fixed ₹500 cap, allowing for higher total earnings if their spending is balanced.
